A new Berlin Oil Connection product is coming soon: Home made olive soap by Zoe from the Lakonia region, exactly where our olive oil comes from. This is a high quality product using only fair ingredients. Zoe makes her soaps in a cold process to ensure that all the vitamins and the anti-oxides from the olive oil , the herbs, the zests, the clays, the juices, the honey and the essential oils are held together in every soap bar she makes. The cold process of saponification takes four weeks for the soaps to be ready. The combination of oil and water is done through caustic soda. During the 4 weeks cure the caustic soda reacts with the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and evaporates from the soap, leaving a thin layer of white dust that is harmless and can be removed to make the soap look better. Due to the long production time why we advise our customers if they...
Black olives? Green olives? Purple olives? A personal highlight from our spring trip to the farm was tasting the actual olives. This is where the magic comes from. In case you wonder why they are not black like those you know from the supermarket, black olives are a Californian marketing invention, they are processed to turn black with an alkaline solution and ferrous gluconate. The pure thing looks like these from out farm in Southern Peloponnese....
Welcome to paradise. This is the Andrianos farm where our olive oil comes from. Located in Southern Peloponnese, in an area called Laconia. Turn your sound on to hear the concert of birds.
With Berlin Oil Connection, we import extra virgin olive oil from a farm in Southern Greece. The Andrianos farm is located in Laconia, around 60 kilometres from Sparta. Every year we bring pure olive oil from one harvest from this farm to Berlin. Because it comes from a single farm and from one of the best growing regions in the world, it has a very low acidity, which gives an intense taste but means it is not burning in the mouth as you maybe know from farmer's oil of other regions. Also this means high heat resistance, it is suitable for frying and can even be used several times. With the intense pure taste it is very suitable for making salads etc. This video shows you the two...
Dear supporters of Berlin Oil Connection
The new harvest of olive oil is coming to Berlin soon. Extra virgin, Koroneiki, one harvest, from one farm in Southern Greece. We want to have a pre-order system for you. This will guarantee you a good price this year.
As you know our little import connection Greece-Berlin is growing, this year we double the amount we bring. This has grown far beyond a network where we mostly sell to friends. We grow as a company and are also trying new things with farmer's markets and broader public sales beyond our initial network. This means we put in a lot more labor and costs and are asking higher prices. But we want to stick to a low price for those that support our development. This brings us to start a pre-order campaign.
To have the oil for the special price of 15 Euros per Liter or 65 Euros per 5L canister, we please ask you to order...

Dear friends
We would like to invite you to our new popup market at our beloved district of Neukölln in Berlin at Laidak, Boddinstrasse 42, this Sunday from 14.00 to 18.30pm, November 24th. As you know, the olive oil is extra virgin and hand-picked in the region of Lakonia in the south of Greece and literally comes bt only one nice farm and in a direct connection with the farmer. As for Laidak, has a lovely environment, good wine and other drinks. This Sunday, you could also taste our olive oil, with bread and good oregano - hand picked on a hill in Southern Peloponnese.
You can always tell us in advance how much olive oil you need. Just make a comment here or contact us. You can pick it up on in Laidak. You can also taste the olive oil with bread. Unfortunately, because we have no other options yet, payment is actually only possible in cash. This time we would...
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, that's for sure. Therefore, from today on, we would like to share some ideas as well as short stories on our blog to give you inspiration, how to use a variety ingredients in order to make your breakfast better and of course tastier. In fact, when we say we love olive oil we mean it. We use it almost for everything. For example with scrambled eggs. Chop half an onion in little pieces and a green paprika, add a little of extra virgin olive oil (yeah, if the olive oil is extra virgin is nothing wrong to fry with it and it is more tasty than butter) and fry them just for few minutes. Then add the egg mix (additionally with a little milk). The trick for making perfect scrambled eggs is whisking the eggs before cooking them. Whisking incorporates air, which produces fluffier scrambled eggs. Green paprika and onion and...

We are gonna meet you again next week, September 14, at the same time and same spot. People who need olive oil before next Saturday, you can always contact us here....
