Through this post, I would like to wish you a beautiful transition into the new year. I hope that 2025 brings us peace, serenity, and creativity. I wish good health for you and your loved ones.<\/p>\n

Although times are challenging, I hope that we all maintain a spirit of optimism and make this year as beautiful as possible.<\/p>\n

I imagine that I will see many of you in person at the Saturday market in a few days, where my stand will be there, every Saturday of January.<\/p>\n

As usual, I am writing to you when I have important news to share. Today is one of those days. This past year has been quite good for me in every way. The quality of the olive oil was excellent, as always, which is evident from your enthusiasm. This makes me especially happy because I truly love what I do. However, my farm produces a specific quantity of olive oil each year\u2014sometimes more, as with this year, and other times less. In other words, one year we have plenty of oil, and the next, less. This is one of the reasons I\u2019m writing to you. The olive oil from last year\u2019s harvest is running out; in fact, there are only a few liters left, just enough for the coming month.<\/p>\n

For this reason, I had the idea to contact one of my friends, who is also a producer of excellent quality olive oil from Laconia, specifically the Mani region<\/strong><\/a>, to send me a small quantity. It is a sertificated organic, extra virgin olive oil from a single farm<\/strong>. So, from now on, you will also be able to find half-liter bottles of olive oil from Dimitris Liakakos’s farm at the Schillerkiez market (Schillermarkt).<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

As you know, my philosophy has always been to have a direct connection with the producer, whether that producer is my family or a friend from a neighboring village.<\/strong> That’s why, as you can see in the new sticker of the photo, we have packaged the olive oil with a distinct label containing all the relevant information about Dimitris’s olive oil. I do the same with the other products you can find at the market, such as the olive oil soap and various herbs.<\/p>\n

Other news I\u2019d like to share with you is that I will be visiting Laconia to prepare the pallet with the 5-liter olive oil canisters. As I mentioned in my previous letter, I left the olive oil for a while in cone-shaped (at the bottom) tanks. I did this because I didn\u2019t want to filter the olive oil.<\/p>\n

The 5-liter canisters will leave Laconia for Berlin at the end of January or early February, and it will take about 10 days for them to arrive. For those of you who plan to pre-order, please do soon so I can estimate how much more oil I will need to package in 5-liter canisters.<\/p>\n
